Healthcare Vulnerability Assessment

When it comes to security, the healthcare industry historically has been in a unique situation due to the nature of the healthcare system. With a near open campus to individuals, access control can be a difficult security element to enforce. Additionally, healthcare perimeters are meant to be inviting so there can be typically little perimeter protection, even with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) elements.

The human element can be a very unpredictable threat towards the healthcare industry. With patients that have mental illnesses or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, behavioral elements can be dangerous and the need to protect patients, visitors and staff is a high priority.
